Ya I don’t see Tampa or Boston beating the Yanks in the playoffs. I don’t see anyone actually unless some surprise team does it like Texas.

If we make it to the LDS series with the Yanks I think we certainly have a chance to beat them. You just have to win 3 damn games before they do.

The Astros are pretty scary when all are healthy, and they may make a big splash at the deadline.

 

I'm not counting us out, yet. One long winning stretch may get us right back into the conversation.

All that matters is beating the teams who have the best chance of taking over 1st place from you. They are 12 games up. It would take massive amounts of losses to bad teams to make that up.

Of course beating the best teams is better. It gives them a loss and amounts to a 2 game swing per game.

 

My point was that, if they are 13-3 vs two key opponents, then their record vs other teams must be worse, and it is.
