At least no Porcello's today but got to wonder where Sale's dominance goes . Just not sure why he has trouble reorganizing himself and getting it under control. I have a mental image of a Verlander type pissing on your shoe and telling you , it's raining. Don't see that with Chris, except for the time he buckled Machado's knees for the 2018 WS final out.

That much is true and I have also noticed. But hard to call THIS one of those instances. When Sale actually blows up...he really blows up. There is no recovering after the opponent gets two runs. Its more like the opponent knocks him entirely out of the game with a 4 run splurge and Sale completely incapable of ending the inning.

I’ve noticed that too. It is very rare Sale has a bad game or inning but I agree when it happens it’s ugly. With that said ever since Sales ugly start to the season he has been rock solid. And has been rock solid today. Even wit that inning he has still deliver 6 strong innings. His ERA is 3.5 which is amazing considering that brutal start he had.

Jim Dandy is one strong mutha.

Wouldn't want to arm wrestle him. He may have a wicked wrist shot on the ice too

Definitely not knocking him, just noticing that quirk of how a little trouble sometimes boils over, making Chris lose his focus. More likely, it is Leon who is making all the bad pitch calls.

Still hoping for Mookie to show something. He is definitely in a slump and is in danger of have his BA sag into the 250's When it goes bad for a guy it can get to his head.

Walden gets his 3 outs on 13 pitches, saving himself for another outing possibly Sunday. Unlike the 25 and 35 pitch efforts by some other unnamed members of the pen who throw lots of breaking balls.

Sox again struggling with RISP , going 1 for 9 so far ....

Should a solo HR be considered an RISP ? How about when a runner goes first to home on a double or triple. ? What if the hitter gets a hit, but the runner gets thrown out at home. Is it still counted as a positive RISP. ?

Now up to 22 pitches to get 2 outs, 2 WP's and a walk. A Porcello and they would be behind. Tell me again why I should feel ok with Barnes ?

If a starter pitched at this pace, he would be a 4 inning thrower

I don't think Davis could time a curve if you gave him 100 swings and he does not seem willing to even swing at a FB. Never seen a guy with his reputation so caught in the middle with another 3+ years of misery for the O's ahead.

If it wasn't for Sandoval and Crawford, Chris Davis would be in the Hall of Shame

Luckily the Orioles structured his contract Bobby Bonillla style and he'll be paid until 2037
