No more double headers for a while.

 

We have June 20th off and then, if I'm reading the schedule right, 2 days off in a row on June 27th & 28th. Two days later, we have another day off, 5 games in a row and then the 4 day All Star break.

I think Marco can help, but the Sox need so much more.

There's no way this will happen, but I would be ok to see Beni traded, and we bring in more of a bopper. Our current outfield of Mookie, Beni and JBJ have an average OPS of .745 which is pitiful. Beni is striking out in 28% of his ABs which is like a slugger, but without the slugging to match.

When Wright returns I would give him the opportunity to push EROD and his ERA of 5 out of the rotation and into the bullpen.

Nunez the apparent illegitimate son of Cora, just needs to go away and take that fukstick Thornburg with him.

DD has 4-5 million up his sleeve and needs to bring in another good bullpen arm.

Pearce needs to be given time to show he can still hit when he comes back .

And still I don't think that is enough as too many players are having down years and they don't seem hungry like the Astros and Yankees.

Texas pitching stinks, should be able to score runs, but what I find interesting is the Rangers are the best team in the Majors with hitting with RISP, so preventing runs is important. Pitching and Defense does this.

apologies, but when you are more then a handful behind a team in the standings and you are actually playing them head-to-head it is imperative that you put your best possible players into the lineup. they can have their "rest days" vs the dregs of the league. not the team you are trying to chase down. Devers & Beni should not have been sitting.

At this point I am waiting to see what they do against Texas. If we somehow manage to lose with Sale tonight I am past disgusted with this team. We seem to s*** ourselves against the top teams and right now Texas is playing very very well. I think they will cool off, but I still don't think this is an automatic for the Sox. Our offense has been less than pathetic so Sale once again will have to bring it.

Agreed and at first I thought maybe he was hiding an injury.... But now I think he is just in a slump and it's getting into his head big time. Missing JD and Moreland sucks but on paper we should have enough talent that we shouldn't be losing series the way we are. In 3 of the 4 games against Tampa we put up 4 god damn runs.... You're telling me because we are missing a couple of guys that makes it ok for us to have 4 runs...... Cora needs to do something and do something fast. If missing 2 guys means we can't score runs then we might as well blow this team up and rebuild.

Well lets hope we can take this series against Texas. They are much (MUCH) better than I expected them to be this season and are currently fighting for a wildcard spot. This is an important series to win especially at home.
