Sox are really showing their ass tonight. Sale ain't Sale, that's for sure. Top 4 in the lineup are hitless and JDM looks helpless against Happ. Leon has an incredibly stupid at bat in which Happ tries his darndest to walk him and he just keeps swinging away. Plus he isn't asking for that changeup very much.

 

Honestly, they just look stupid to me. As if Casey Stengal were standing in front of the dugout, asking, "can't anyone out here play this game?" And no one answers.

Not to mention this division is really getting away from us. I don’t care what anyone says about it being early. Tampa and New York will not slow down. Not by a mile. If the Sox keep playing .500 baseball we have zero shot at the division. And possibly might miss playoffs all together.

Someone needs to throw a few things around in the dugout man. This trash is unacceptable. This entire team is sleepwalking through the reg season so far.

And I hate to admit it, but there are more issues than just the pen. This team is poorly managed at the moment.

Lemahieu has been absolutely what the doctor ordered. Our biggest issue offensively coming into the offseason was the fact that we didn't make enough contact. Ace pitchers who could limit the long ball could own us. Now, we have some guys like Estrada, Lemahieu and Urshela who make a ton of contact. This helps a lot when you have bombers who walk a bunch and get on base, then the contact guys who can drive people in by putting the ball in play.
