The string of negativity on this site over the last week or so would suggest that we're in last place in mid-September. We're over .500 and it's not even June. Everybody take a chill pill. Come on man. It’s infuriating. You’re what your record says you’re. This team has been terribly inconsistent. There’s no chance at a division. Maybe a second wild card? This team has been unwatchable this season because of the inconsistency but i might be there if they give me false hope again.

Is it a long season? Two teams are ahead of them that are consistently winning. This team has been awful. Yankees could basically put the nail in the coffin by taking 3 out of 4.

The Sox got off to a great start last year and were never really challenged. Different story this year and they don't seem to be responding. That is frustrating.

Cora’s bloom has fallen off as well. These guys where never ready mentally since the start of the season. Messed around with the pitchers in spring training. They dug themselves a hole with that type of crappy start on the west coast.

Maybe you guys are just bigger fans than me. Sure I love this team. There are few things in life that I love more than the Red Sox. When we're not playing terribly well, it's hard to watch. I totally understand it. So what do I do? Anything I can. I'll change the channel, do something that makes me happy, like watch my favorite show, or talk to the girl I like, or go to the golf course. Nobody's making you watch. We're not bad enough to warrant this, but if you're watching every inning of every game when things are going bad, then you really don't have a right to bitch and moan, since you're putting yourself through it at your own will.

 

I'm not saying I'm better than any of you, or that my methods of fandom are superior to any of yours, but I'm just suggesting that you internalize your emotions. I feel all the same negative s*** as you, but I have ways of dealing with it, so it doesn't effect anybody else in my life. Once again, not saying this is a problem that occurs in your lives, I'm just saying that I'm tired of seeing only bitching and moaning on this place when this team has some of the most exciting young players in the league right now in Betts, Devers, and Chavis. I'm not saying I'm perfect either; I definitely do it too sometimes. The rule of thumb I use is I don't post anything here that I wouldn't say to the face of the player(s) I'm talking about. Again, not a suggestion, just a school of thought. As somebody who's been bullied most of his life, I just ask that you be cognizant of the impact words can have on people, whether it involves them or not, and whether you realize it or not

I was too. Just googled it to see and it came up with an article about the White Sox scoring in every at bat in 2016, but they were home and only had 8. It apparently has been done 3 times in the NL.
