The counter argument we have been hearing from some of the guru posters is that with such a strong lineup up front, we can afford to have a good fielding JBJ and an excellent defensive catcher hitting in the range of 150 with low OPS's. That puts a lot of pressure on our better hitters and presumes they too won't be in slumps for periods as Beni seems to be in now. We also find us carrying two other underperformers. Tough to be the better teams with a comprised offensive team.

2 earned runs for the Astro’s; the one that scored on Bogie’s throw was earned since the runner would have scored anyway even had the throw been perfect. But the throw allowed the trail runner to get to 3rd where he scored on the sac fly.
