Even when Jackie B gets a hit off the wall, he is still out, but the try for second with 2 outs was worth it.

Anybody want to guess how far above the previous MLB season HR totals the 2019 season will be and whether MLB finally stops messing with the baseball?

In the 17 innings played so far in this series, Roc K's have struck out 34 times out of a total 51 outs.
And won the one game concluded by hitting HR's with a man on base, then getting walked to a winning opportunity. That loss still smells

7th inning is tough for our starters. My guess for Barnes is a quick DP, then a K. Or 2 walks for 2 runs.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for Cora there I think. But how can you really trust ERod to a total like 106 pitches. Cora probably hoped he could get ERod past the 7th and save his pen. Then decided he had gone that far. Lets see if we can get the LH hitter, Blackman. None of it worked to the point of bringing Barnes.

Will Cora get away with his gamble?

Which is basically irrelevant. They won game 1 and have a very good shot at winning tonight. Down by 3 but bases loaded and no one out in the 7th.

Just further proof that K's are overrated. Nolan Ryan, the king of K's, finished his career with a winning percentage of only .526.

It definitely is irrelevant. Just having fun with numbers.

Nice, another choke up by the pen. Just to make it interesting

That’s why they should have scored more runs. Rodriguez shouldn’t have pitched the 7th inning.
