What played well in that inning is that with the game on the line the true regulars, Betts-Martinez-Bogaerts, came through big. Pearce and Nunez is in their last Boston seasons, Pedey hasn't got it together yet.

Anytime you get off to a slow start it seems each game counts early. Team still under 500. Yes it’s April but you don’t wanna be 10 games out early and having to make that up.
