Needed that out. Devers is really good on those big hops. Of course, so would I be, and I'm 78. Don't quite have the arm though.

Good thing the Masters is this weekend. I can actually watch something exciting

NHL playoffs start for me! Granted my Senators didn't make it there will be some very enjoyable games. Maple Leafs vs Bruins will be a good one, and Jets vs Blues will be physical. And a small part of me hoping Columbus and Carolina can get huge upsets over Tampa and Washington lol.

Even after Hembree's 2 out walk, not sure why going to Workman on a cold day was a better idea. Relies on curve balls, not much of a fastball

I played 3B until high school. Those big hops are our best friends

Of course. Thursday and Saturday afternoon, it's golf, but at night, it's Doc calling the Bruins-Leafs. What could be better?

Just maybe the best golf tournament in the world because it stars--August National, a course created by Bobby Jones.

Me, I'll watch both. Sox on the desktop screen, Masters on the boob tube.

Another thing I've noticed so far this season is that when we don't hit it out, everything we hit hard is hit right to somebody

Great shot, too brief, of the frozen Fenway crowd still sticking around. For top dollar, yet. With some really bad sightlines down the right side.

Man this ump is giving Toronto some low strikes.

He’s getting cold and wants this over. Vazquez should be all over him come next inning on anything close that’s called a ball; he won’t do it but he should.

Last year the SOX were hungry with something to prove after an early PO exit in 2017. This year they appear to be fat and lazy, so far. It's difficult to transition from 'fat and lazy' to hungry in the same season.

As much as I don't like what I'm seeing right now, the only glaring weakness is the starting rotation, and it's mathematically impossible for them to continue being this bad. MVP and others have been saying that as long as we're healthy, there's no reason to be concerned, and I'm realizing how true that is. We'll have stupid bad luck days like today, where someone decides to play small ball and gets a couple of lucky bounces, but at some point, the starting rotation will improve at least a little bit

What was Caesar's big line? Veni, vidi, vici: "I came, I saw, I conquered." For us Sox fans it's "Beni, Beni, Beni."

I think that ranges from the Spring Training approach, to the relief pitcher slow walk, to the players who now have the hardware to go along with the checks and a couple nice extensions. Are hangovers real? Results in several sports would indicate yes.

After all, it was the BP that was maligned all off season and ST , giving them something to prove, so they have the motivation to do well. The other guys won 108 plus 11 more through the WS. What's to prove?

If the Sox can still pull this out, it will need to start with Betts again. JDM can feel free to participate as well.

If we're going to get all cynical, there are still a bunch of guys who have financial motivation to do well this year.

Prove it wasn't a fluke.

Agreed! We are sitting I think around 13 right now in batting. The offense and bullpen has definitely been good enough to have a solid record. If the starting rotation was even half decent we would be pretty good right now. This is about as bad of a start from a Red Sox rotation I’ve ever seen. If they can get their s*** together we can get on a run. However we are now going to be 6 games down from Tampa. Early yes. But this is a bit hole to climb out of.
