He deserved better. Bregman’s hit was a seeing eye grounder and Gonzalez sounded like he broke his bat; he certainly didn’t hit it in the fat part of the bat. And he should have been out of the inning on Gurriel’s ball.

Cora loved him some Nunez all season long, leaving Holt on the bench many times. The failure of Pearce and Nunez to get the third run was not good.

The Sox probably did not move on Moose too embarrassed to have to go through 85 3rd baseman to get 1 that actually played the position competently.
