Not competitive today. We put up our weaker pitchers and had to hope the offense would show up against Shields. Pretty big holle to climb out of.

Robby Scott could be an effective LOOGY if he can have his control on hand for that one batter. His extreme sidearm delivery must be hard on lefties.

I had mentioned before the trading deadline that I had been following James Shields. He has put up a lot of quality starts, and cut down drastically on his HR balls.

Batting Leon and Vazquez back to back is really waiving the white flag. Together, they aren't hitting .400.

2 strike outs and a foul out to the catcher in the 9th sums up the day for Boston. What a lack luster effort. I feel sorry for the Red Sox fans that paid money and went to the game. What a disappointment.

maybe tomorrow we don't have to start out behind 2-0, 4-0 after the first inning or two.. feels like past two weeks been always trying to come back. granted its been early runs and we got plenty of game left but lets start out with a 5 spot of our own for once.

White Sox have a lot of young talent that is starting to figure it out. As somebody said, it's not always who you play but when you play them. They are 18-13 since the start of August, which may not sound all that impressive until you realize that that is 94 win pace. Thay are also 13-7 over the past 3 weeks. That includes taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees last week in New York.

 

I said back in June they were going to improve as the season went on; they have. They are going to be a very good club come next year, 2020 at the outside.
