He's a 230 hitter so he only gets a hit every 4th time. Against good pitching like tonight he would be good to even hit his average. A hit would have been nice, but it was optimistic to expect one. At least the kids pitch count is up so one more inning at the most. We need to hold them now to stand a decent change.

4 runs is far from insurmountable, but always waiting for the 7-8-9th and playing from behind is tiring. I guess they think that letting the other team hold a lead for awhile and then pound them late, demoralizes the opposition. Odd strategy.

The Yankees have a bit of an easier schedule, but they do have a tough west coast trip with 7 games against the A's and M's. And after today they still will have to make up 6 games.
