I think that when you decide to sideline your shutdown pitcher for two 10 day periods, it can bring down the whole team--at least a bit. You have to go with a patch-work pitching staff, and also get rest in for everyone at the same time. It makes the Sox more beatable, to put it mildly.

You still have to go out there and execute. Porcello didn’t do that last night and now eovaldi didn’t as well. This team has won a lot of games but haven’t proven nothing. We will see what happens but right now they just look awful.
