If you could take 5 players off the Orioles for free and add them to your team, who do you even take? This is honestly a hard question. I'd take Jones, Britton and Schoop, but after that its iffy, Bleier? Gausman? Jesus this team sucks.

They’re the worst team in all of professional baseball, major and minor leagues by win percentage. And that was with Machado

The way this O's team has played the last month, they are beaten before they take the field. But before that, my God how do players with this much talent play this badly? I do wonder about whether old man Buck has fought the whole launch angle approach and has gotten them so completely flummoxed that they are just a mess. They are struggling with it. I have not seen this many half way between old and new swing approaches on one team this year.

Even that I don't think they should do. Every team can shift, and it isn't an unfair advantage, I really don't see an issue with it, and this is coming from someone who has seen a lot of hits taken away from guys like Ortiz over the years.

I think one issue with it from a league point of view is that way fewer balls are being put in play, and trying to lift the ball over the shift, rather than hit the other way, causes bad baseball swings, and more strikeouts.

I'd take this kid pitching tonight. He's got some nasty stuff.

There's no shift with JD, because he knows how to hit to all fields. It's not the shift that's the elephant in the room; it's the batters not being able to adjust.

Refusal to adjust, you mean... thus the talk about ending the shift

Yeah he seems decent, not really sure who he is though.

Good fastball, reasonable change and slider. Issues with command. He was signed as an IFA by the Yanks and was moved to BAL last year for IFA funds

Nice hanger by POM. Live by the curve, die by the hanger.

That pitch was Remy's fault. Pom could hear Remy singing and nearly had heart failure on the mound. Why does NESN do this stuff.

Nice play on both ends there. Bogey made a nice stop and Moreland did a good job of holding the bag.

Something I haven't seen mentioned about Bogaerts is that he's gotten away from that 'crow hop' he used to have when making routine throws.

Great first 3 innings by Pom, much better than I expected. Just 2 runs, a minor miracle. I kind of think of that as a Pom quality start.

Do we have somebody sitting? Why is JBJ hitting 6th?

Hell yes we do. I'm sitting. You're sitting. Lots of us are sitting.

If it does go to rain delay, then you won't likely see Pomeranz back, maybe not Ramirez either , who is currently working them over. Let the bullpens settle much later or else get it cancelled
