Reminds me of an old joke dating back to when there was smoking seating on airplanes.

 

Attendant: "Welcome to American Airlines. Would you prefer smoking or non-smoking?"

 

Passenger: "I don't smoke, but I'd prefer the smoking section."

 

Attendant: "Why is that? You must realize that's not the healthiest area to be seated."

 

Passenger: "Thank you for your concern, but that's where the interesting people are."

 

IOW, the game thread is where the interesting people are.

 

I guess we have different definitions of "interesting".

 

In fact, I often drop by the game threads and participate until the tenor gets so negative I can't bear it any more. Then I drop out. I have no need to defend a team or it's players that's playing ~.700 baseball. Those things speak for themselves. Some folks just can't stand prosperity and have to find something to bitch about. I get enough of that in real life, thanks.

I think there are more options than dumping all over everything or being a sophomore cheerleader. I think there's some middle ground in between there.

Kelly BAA is .194 but his ERA is 4.31?? Strange....

 

Kelly's LOB% is 66.2% which is pretty s*****. He also has a BB/9 of 4.43 which is the second worst of his career. He's been really solid for the most part, but there are some real stinkers thrown in that can really affect a reliever's numbers.

Seems like he was lights out until about his last 5 games.

 

Not sure what's going on with him.
