Actually, if you would take you head out of you rear, you would know the reason. LeBlanc has been brilliant. As I said, its a classic example of actual pitching as opposed the throwing we usually see.

I don’t care how brilliant he has been. Everyone has been brilliant against this lineup. It’s a mighty struggle. Very inconsistent.

Mariners are not a chump baseball team. Don't care what the stats say...This team knows how to win baseball games and it can pitch. Which is not to say we are at some huge disadvantage to it. But a split here if we can get it should not be a surprise to anybody.

That’s what they likely will do. They might even see then again in a wildcard game. I see the Yankees running away with this division.

If everyone has been brilliant, how have the Red Sox won 48 games and scored the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) most runs in all of major leaguie baseball?

A walk to start the inning. I am sure Wright has to be frustrated with the offense.

Looks like a true batting hangover since the 4th inning last night. West Coast road trips, always fun.

The SOX pathetic performance on offense has overshadowed the great performance by Wright tonight.

It has to be frustrating with some of these guys especially a guy like sale who hasn’t gotten run support this season.

I mentioned that last night. All bad hitters should, at least, know how to bunt.

He is striking out nearly 30%, the guy has pride or is too hard to coach. He tried bunting a few times and looks befuddled .

A stat geek. This offense’s inconsistent. They have a guy batting a buck 85 in the lineup. Also swihart who looks lost.

Sox have been very vulnerable to the Change up since Maneae showed the league that is the way to get them out.

Lets see..Maneae is a LH pitcher with a great change and what is Leblanc?

A lof of our hitters are pressing--esp in a tight game like this, because they're not doing too well at the plate in general.

Yeah, ignore the stats, instead of stats, lets whine and make stupid whiny comments in a game thread! That will definitely win you arguments.

So in other words, you can't answer the question.

Baseball is an inconsistent game; if you can't figure that out, you are going to always be miserable as a fan.

If we think its some accident that the two pitchers that have absolutely dominated the Sox this year are LH pitchers that feature great Changeups we are dreaming. The problem is that Maneae really showed the league how to get the Sox hitters out and now LeBlanc is putting a period to the sentence. Still and all, we usually get our hits and score runs. But when push comes to shove expect to see teams lining up their LHers for us, especially if they are guys like Maneae and LeBlanc.

The Sox scored 4 off Manaea the 2nd time they saw him, though. And I think if they see LeBlanc next week, they will do better as well. You still have to execute the pitches and there's no way LeBlanc can execute any better than he did tonight.

this game reminds me a lot of grady sizemore hitting a home run on opening day for the red sox a few years ago. man did grady sizemore suck in boston.

I have no idea what this comment even means.

This is random.

I don't care if it gets you there quicker or not (I don't think it does); the risk of an injury to a hand or finger is too great.

The ONLY time you do it is to avoid a tag on a throw up the first base line and you want to get under it (and then you aren't worried about getting to the base quicker).

The coaches have to get him to stop sliding into 1st. it is just too dangerous.
