I would love to jump all over Hembree for that walk. But I see that over and over again. Our team....every team. I have no idea what pitchers are doing these days. If you are not going to go after a hitter like that, who the heck are you going to go after?

Barnes cruising with 2 outs in the 7th on about 10 pitches, now bases loaded on 29 pitches because he started fooling around with a worthless split finger and lost his way. He may get out with his pants on but that was F'ed up. To listen to OB and Eck, Matt is the answer to all your wishes, not so much

It is real hard to watch how these guys pitch and not just our guys. its enough to drive you crazy. Some of them actually have more ammo to attack hitters with and they just insist on backing themselves into these corners and then either work out of it or somebody bails them out or they get what is behind door number 3. Worse to watch in this league because even if they get out of it, there is no pitcher sitting at the bottom of the opposing order to work toward. So all they are doing is wasting pitches and bringing the top of the opposing order up sooner.

Pretty widespread throughout baseball now though. Real hard for me to blame the individual pitchers for it.

Last year Barnes wouldn't have gotten out of that. He's been a much better reliever this year.

Can't argue against this ....guys delivered ...hate the walks. But he's been solid .

Vaz in the swing of it !!! Big POp of late great job !!!!!

Nice to have a contribution from the bottom of the order. Maybe he will gain confidence from this great game.

There's 30 teams in MLB. It's obvious there's not enough good pitchers to man these 30 teams. It's the same in pro football, basketball, and hockey. Every big city wants a pro team, but the simple truth is there's just not enough talent out there. We SOX fans complain because the SOX are having an issue with a #5 starter. Many teams are lucky to have 2 good starters. The Tigers are a prime example.

Just caught up live.

Nice to see Vaz coming to life. maybe leon getting hot and hints of Swihart getting a chance behind the plate lit a fire under him. Maybe he just got hot on his own.

Beni staying hot is great.

Looks like everyone is pitching in, now.

Exactly!

And our 6, 7 & 8 starters have an ERA under 1.60 combined!
