Getting a little scary. that was a very expensive BB--11 pitches. Plus Sale does not trust his slider or changeup.

Boy, I get it guys. Lately we don't have to steel ourselves for the game but for Gomes and other various indignities that NESN might heap upon us in its promos. Its getting rough and lately my hands shake as I flip to NESN for the game.

Yea. Pitch count is way up. It'll be a miracle if he starts the seventh.

In some cases when a starting everyday player is out for a long stretch, his replacement plays so well that it's a tough call for the manager to take the replacement out of the line-up. Well, Cora won't have that problem when Pedey returns.

The bottom half of the order is struggling. Moreland put up a battle but Nunez and Devers no so much. Scoring shouldn't be all up to the first 5 or 6 guys in the order.

I am happy to have this lead. But we were musing the night of the Manaea no hitter that Manaea's sequencing would get around the league and we have not come anywhere near where we were before that game since.

Still looks like with a few exceptions we still have some adjustments to make.

Yup, I remember when Judge Judy made an appearance.

I'll settle for getting thru the 5th with a lead.

Last night the SOX had the BP killer on the mound. Sale is usually the BP savior, but not tonight.

Looked fantastic through 4. Been the story of our pitching lately. Some solid innings but can’t put a solid game together lately. Although in all fairness Sale was outstanding last week

Barnes is sort of throwing fine for Barnes but a number of these pitches are just getting too much plate.

I figured out why Sale threw so many pitches out of the zone tonight. He was terrified of throwing strikes without JBJ in CF to field all those inevitable extra bases hits--which JBJ would have turned into outs. Edited by Maxbialystock

This offense begin with Betts and ends with JD. Guys steps already.

Agree completely. 3 run dinger by Bogie should not count.

Good job XB. Nice cut.

Funny how Cora I guess is talking about the Sox swinging at too many pitches on the edges of the plate...obviously he means with less than two strikes. Really that was there problem under Farrell...swinging at too many pitches on the edges while letting meatballs just go right past.

Sort of a lost talent is purposefully fouling off a pitch that is really not a good pitch to hit but is very likely a strike on the edge.

Heath Hembree should be the poster boy for demonstrating how bad the SOX minor league system is in developing pitchers.

He came over to the Red Sox from the Giants in the Peavy trade in 2014.

Yes, he spent some time at Pawtucket but he was not drafted by the Sox.

When Hembree started pitching in Red Sox uniform his career seemed very promising. Unfortunately his career has gone way down south.

My bad. However, I'll stick to my statement that pitching development in the SOX minor leagues sux.

That unfortunately has been all too true over the past couple decades.
