Mee too. All the Sox fans who have been bitching about Beni for the last few days. Yesterday it was he didn't hit and should be moved down in the order or rested. He also shoould have scored from third on a Devers fly to right. He did point out the umpire screened his view of the play causing him to leave early so he had to retreat. He also got two walks yesterday. The kid today has doubled to drive in a run and singled in front of JDM's homer to score another. Yes, he got sloppy at second. On the whole, I think the kid is an important part of the team and a mainstay going forward.

Change has been terrific tonight. That slider that has usually been ridiculous most of the time has been sort of "what was that" tonight.

Better job of painting the outside corner. Not much Pillar could do with that pitch other than pop it up or K looking.

Yep his change has been his go-to pitch tonight. The good news is Sale has done a better job of not only changing the hitter's eye level but he's done a better job of working outside to inside.

Not a bad way for Sale's night to end. Struggled early and left some big pitches out & over the plate in which he paid for. He recovered and regained control having Blue Jays hitters looking a big confused. The best part is the offense put up 5 runs so Sale got some good support tonight.

Be interesting to see how Cora sequences these guys tonight. Hembree has pitched. Kimbrel has pitched and Kelly I think started his suspension tonight.

The Park, is fine, but the riot "series" was an awful problem and left a nasty mark on a lot of people, a lot of them wont/haven't returned, and the way the Orioles, and the whole city of Baltimore handled everything about the situation was disgraceful. The mayor is an idiot, the cops are corrupt, etc.

In fact, I've posted about this being his freaking break out year. I met him and his incredibly LOVELY family in Seattle on the day he was called up.

 

Having said that, you can't stick your head up your arss & pretend the kid isn't struggling on a number of issues.

 

One of those issues, is having his head up his arss on the base paths..... he will wake up, but NOT BECAUSE Sox fans ignore his struggles.

I guess I didn't notice but how shallow were our outfielders playing on the Travis triple? That ball seemed to roll forever before it was finally picked up.

Everything Smith threw just hung there with an invitation saying "please hit me". Definitely not Smith's best night.
