Mi compadre Velazquez has been pitching so great. Keep going!

He earned the W. Excellent job by him. Might have locked in a role...

f*** the long ball. Dig a middle releiver coming in with bases loaded and getting it to 3 and 2 and burying a perfect fast ball for the punch out.....

This team is literally clicking on all cylinders. They pitch well, hit well, are managed well, and man is this team fun to watch. When we were down 3-0, I fully expected them to come back. Its a different guy every night. Tonights heroes are definitely Velazquez, JBJ and Moreland. I love this team.

Not me. I thought we were done after the 1st and was astounded when JBJ tied it, even more when Pom sort of settled down. Great move by Cora to bring in Velazquez at just the right time. Fell asleep right after that.

17-2 is beyond words. When you see them, however, you understand why those numbers. Just as you say. Sox are 9-0 in games won by 4 or more runs—kimmi’s criterion for a really good team.

5-0 in one run games.

No mercy is there?

Your mojo is intact, Max. Just remember today's thread is 4/21 Sox at Oakland. :D

Thanks for the reminder. Another long, meandering OP.

If you read my in-game comments last night, I am definitely among the faint of heart. You guys have the mojo, thank goodness.

I want to run away and hide while we can ...games like this are still must wins early or not ...our division is scuffling make hay while we can .....bury them so deep they trade players .

Agree completely. It is in the best interest of this team that Pomeranz gets healthy and gets back to 2017 form. We’re gonna lose some games this year, believe it or not.

I can understand both lines of thinking.

Of course, Jbay and SoxHop are correct. We need Pom for the long run. The long term benefits of having him right for the rest of the season outweigh the possible loss that we could have taken last night. Even if we weren't on such a great start. From a rational standpoint, letting Pom struggle a little was the correct decision.

But I'm not gonna lie, I want to win every game. The emotional side of me was screaming, 'Get the bum out of there!'. LOL

Sale, Price, a good pitching Porcello and add Pom. E-Rod at 5. That is a sick rotation.

If they can stay healthy, look out.

The good guys win. 17-2. Let's keep it rolling fellas!!!

Incredible! Absolutely incredible! And it seems like everyone on the team is contributing.

It's always great to win. Even better when the Yankees lose too.

Go Sox!
