It was funny watching both he and Jacko going nuts the other night about Girardi. The two of them were such enemies on Talksox but they are in lock step over the non-challenge.

 

The classic Talksox dispute was the one where Gom and Dipre ( lol ) went at it about high inside fastballs.

Social media is ubiquitous nowadays. This is the 2017 equivalent of some guy screaming "Girardi should be fired" on a street corner while Chapman walks by and Chapman replying "hell yeah he should, he sucks". It's not international quality news, but it's definitely Yankees news.

Watching this series, watching the Yankees bullpen blow it, made me think of what a bad deal it was when Cashman traded away A.Miller for a guy who can't hit in Clint Frazier and a future bottom of the rotation starter in J.Sheffield. Bad work by Cashman.

 

The Yankees need A.Miller NOW; instead, A.Miller is on the team that will eliminate the Yankees from the playoffs. Funny thing is, if Dombrowski made this dumb deal, Red Sox fans would criticize Dombrowski to no end.

 

Cashman miscalculated. He thought the Yankees were a few years away from contending. Well....he was wrong....Cashman also made the mistake of giving Miller away for practically nothing. IMO, Frazier and Sheffield are like Fool's Gold, highly regarded prospects according to some people, but the Guardians knew these guys weren't that good, AND the Guardians have been excellent at evaluating talent.

 

You’re pretty clearly not very up to date on your minor leaguers. Frazier was brought up a year early and still showed enough to open as a starter RF on most teams. We aren’t most teams, he’s likely slated as a AAAer next year barring a move. He’s a top 75 prospect in baseball still.

 

Sheffield has a damn good year for a 21 yr old in AA. What makes you think he’s a “back of the rotation” starter. You’re an idiot

Can't think about game 2 anymore. Who knows, if the series was tied 1-1 and our backs weren't against the wall, maybe Tanaka doesn't pitch with the same urgency as yesterday and there's a different outcome. In either case, game 4 is being played at home with our best pitcher on the mound. Everything is still in front of the Yanks, just have to play to their potential.
