Who is in the booth with OB tonight?

Todd Walker. Seems very good to me so far. Comfortable, some good insights, speaks well... most importantly (for me), he has a good announcing voice and is aware of cadence and the rhythms of speech. That stuff can't be taught.

Is this his first time in the booth?

Difference to me is the Oriole's can hit and we can't. Fister hit some corners, got no calls, so he is forced to throw hittable stuff. But the Baltimore starter did that from the outset. Before Betts struck out he had two very hittable pitches.

Fister walked 2, one a 111 hitter on 4 pitches. He doesn't seem to have enough control and has put us behind by 4 which is the runs we average in a game. Fister must have some problem with nerves as he always seems to run into early trouble before settling down in later innings. Tough start for him tonight.

Alex Speier with more illumination -- Devers hasn't hit a HR in a while and he is making some errors and Pedroia's knee still hurts. Oh boy, riveting. They are going to hold him over for another half inning for more useless information.

12-3 in extras.

We were down 3-0 with no one out in the 2d. You seriously want to spend half your bullpen trying to keep it close for 8 innings when our guys aren't hitting? no manager would do that.

I'm not watching the game, what's going on with the umpires lately? a lot are trying to be the center of the game, don't remember a season with so many issues, just terrible

3-0 is nothing. This is September, they carries extra relievers.

Fister just threw a fastball on the inside corner, first pitch-nailed for a single. Our guys simple cannot do that.

I'm making excuses for Fister of course, because clearly he has control issues tonight over and above any missed calls.

So let's see if he Hembree can stop the bleeding. Even if he does, I have little confidence our guys can come back.

All I see going on with umpires is that on really close calls, half the fans are pissed. i.e., the same thing that has been going on with umpires for as long as I've watched baseball.

I think is kinda worst lately, as a yankee fan I feel exactly the same way as you guys, those idiots are all over the place no consistency at all sometimes they call a pitch strike and the next inning they are calling a ball in the same location

Good for Hembree. Can't do much better than that. Now let's see if our guys can do more than a solo bunt single after 3 innings.

When the game is close you take the starter out who has nothing. Farrell is always bad at this.

You think this game was/is close?
