Wasn't yaz the same height? He did ok at first if I remember correctly, but I was very young back then.

 

I think Yaz has been listed as 6'0" but I think he was more like 5'11''.

He was taller than that.

 

I've seen him in person, but he was over 50, so maybe he had shrunk by then.

 

(I'm just under 5-11 and he looked more than an inch shorter than I am.)

He's 78 now and still taller than Pedroia. I met him in '87, and he was definitely around 5'11" and taller in his cowboy boots

He was 5'11" and as a young man looked bigger. He was very, very solid.
