Another s***** AB by Hanley.

A lot better than Devers. Those first 2 pitches against Hanley were really good, low inside and very fast. He fouled off a lot of pitches and didn't swing at anything almost over his head as Devers did. Because we beat him a couple times, we think Chapman is second rate. He isn't.

That was the worse at bat I've seen from Devers so far. Looked weak, over-matched.

A combination of a guy with serious heat and bad visibility because of the late afternoon shadows I think.

Holt just made an easy play look hard. Nunez would have made that play without half trying because it's a known fact that Holt is weak defensively (and at the plate)..

You are probably right. I thought Devers was swinging a tad too hard.

Sox are 2 for 9 with RISP--both by JBJ of course. Left 14 baserunners on--4 by HanRam, 3 by Devers, 2 by Holt.

Update. Sox finish 4-14 with RISP and HanRAm with 7 guys left on base. Our 8th and 9th hitters have all rbi's.

Agree, definitely not worried about it.

Isn't this a 9 inning game with a low score? Weren't most of the relievers brought in at the beginning of the half inning? It all that is true, why in the wide, wide world of sports are we now coming up on 3 1/2 hours?

FWIW, I think the Yankees are the real slowpokes. But the problem is with MLB who will not empower umpires to speed up the games.

Cool. It was still a s***** AB.

Neat to see JBJ covering Betts on that fly in the sun. A pretty good outfield.

"Pretty good"?? You're a tough sell! This is a VERY good outfield! :D

Xander came dangerously close to making a stupid play on the bases.

Moreland has had some good swings today. Its good when he's going opposite field.

Because it's the Red Sox and the Yankees. It's always that way, and why I dislike the ESPN Sunday night games that start late. Someone I know used to refer to it as the Sunday Night Death March.

Every word you wrote is just so true. I hate Sunday night baseball. But I watch it if the Sox are playing.
