We had men all over the bases all night long and we left them out there. Our guys were laughing and giggling their way through the game like they had it in the bag, and then they pissed it away.

I am just gonna see how they bounce back tomorrow. Stankees will be 7-3 after tonight against this team.

Yup, Just hope it doesn't turn into a forest fire. A sweep might have just turned into hoping Sale salvages a win. We just gave the Chankees a new lease on life...

This is the second series where we had the opportunity to administration kill shot, but we performed CPR and brought the Yankees back to life.

Still no one out. There is a tendency among all of our pitchers to over-rely on the fast ball. And, as I have said several times, only Sale actually has a good slider and a pretty good changeup, and those make his fast ball that much more effective. So too Kimbrel needs that knuckle curve. I have just watched two straight Yankee batters pull fast balls for hits on 99 and 100 mph fastballs by Kelly. Hah, Kelly just threw a slider slightly above the middle of the zone, leading to a sac fly.

Back to the obese rule. This ump can't bend over enough to be able to accurately see a low strike, That slider by Kelly was well inside the strike zone.

One thing Giradi does consistently that Farrell doesn't do that much is to have options warming up in the bullpen. Kelly didn't start warming up until Reed had given up a home run and a single and a HBP. So Kelly comes in, probably not warm, with men on first and second, no one out, and the score 3-2. So, while the primary fault lies with Reed especially and Kelly, Farrell might have managed the 8th a little better.

Farrell thought things would go according to formula -- a 7th inning guy, an 8th inning guy and then Kimbrel, and he had no backup plan of one of those guys blew up.

Why not use Kimbrel to put that fire out?

Because Reed and Kelly are bad ass releivers that both on any other night would have ended that mess..

This is a big game. If he used Kimbrel for 6 outs to save this game, he could have rested him tomorrow and had him ready to help Sale win the Series on Sunday. Farrell is a brain dead dope.

That's why they went to get Sale. Their pitching development is utter s***. They only throw fastballs and walks a ton.
