I call guys like Kendrick "s***" pitchers. I think he fits the bill.

 

I wonder what Sean O'Sullivan is up too. I miss him,

Tomato can, punching bag, bum, pig etc. There are many terms to describe pitchers like Kendrick. Let me be clear that none of those terms disparage his character. I hope the next term that is associated with him is DFA'd.

For being a good defensive catcher it seems like Vazquez makes a lot of mistakes.

He has the year but if we miss playoffs things will change. We made playoffs last year and we were supposed to get better... Right now we look terrible. We aren't even in a wild card spot at the moment.

Kendrick is what he is, but tonight he pitched way better than last time while his teammates did everything in their power to make things worse. Herewith a short list--

 

1 for 11 with RISP.

Pedroia gets a perfect double play ball, and takes so long to get it to Bogaerts, there is no chance for two especially with how slow Bogaerts is at turning the ball around toward 1B.

Vazquez makes a horrible throw to 2B to make sure the guy on 2b can score and the guy on 1b gets to 3b.

Hembree gives up the single to ensure one more run is charged to Kendrick.

Another GIDP by our guys, what else?

Oddly Kendricks kept the Sox in this one for 4 innings.

 

Sloppy D and untimely hitting has buried this team.

 

Farrell had only one neuron firing tonight. He should have lifted Kendricks earlier in the 5th.

 

Gotta love that arm on Vasquez!!!!!! Lots of DRS there!
