Still early but it's not good when your hated rival's bashing the baseball and winning.

Hated rival? Who gives a s*** when the Orioles are also in our division and also playing better ball than the Sox. With the acquisition of Sale, this was supposed to be our year, but right now this team looks like a bunch of deadbeats.

This team should still be winning games. They better get it together. Underachieving thus far

They are frustrating, for sure.

Can't seem to get anything consistent going.

Farrell said in the post game he left Wright out there, because he was afraid Maddon might have used pinch hitters and the match- up would not favor them. He brought up Baez. He might have PH for Jay.... NESN post game

Any of you people think Lackey is like cool or fun or an alright or just a good guy.....

you call me.......... right now.......... I'll set you straight............. I'll talk the dumbass out of you ........

Lol, wtf?

I'm okay with Lackey...in my book, helping to deliver a championship gives one a pass for a lot of scowling, sulking, and whatever else it is that makes people dislike him so much. The real crime was that godawful trade with St. Louis that sent him out of town.

GG Moreland with another error. Enough of him and this phony fielding reputation.

he looks very slow almost sluggish around the bag

I'm done with Wright.

I think Lackey is a douche, but he's a good pitcher and I would welcome him back to Boston in a heartbeat.

Perfectly said...

Hey, we've all been there. ...put the blame where it belongs, on the Red Sox for marring your barbecue with a loss.

I am not a big Dombrowski fan, but I can't blame Dombrowski for Smith and Thornberg being injured. Dombrowski has no control over that.

I do wish we had re-signed Koji. That said, the bullpen has not been a problem.

Dombrowski is accountable for it, especially if it turns out to seriously cost us.

I agree you can't normally blame the GM for guys getting injured. But when you acquire not one but two guys who are injured before they even play for you, you have to wonder.

Koji would have been a relatively inexpensive get. Theo made a smart move getting him.

I disagree about Dombrowski being accountable for players who get injured. As I've said many times in my defense of Ben, the GM's job is to assemble a team who, on paper, is a contending team. I realize that what a team looks like on paper does not always transfer to the actual games, but the GM cannot control what happens on the field. In terms of the team assembled for this year, Dombrowski did a great job.

That said, if there was something in the medical reports or the FO was not diligent in screening the health of these players before they were acquired, then we're talking a whole different story. Pomeranz' health questions remain to be answered.

In terms of Smith and Thornburg, I think it's just bad luck.

Thanks....... you cracked me up this morning. I didn't even make it to see if the ribs turned out good..... heck.... it's almost noon and I'm getting my day started.

That was a crappy game yesterday....... I'm trying not to freak out on the team yet. I'm trying...........

That sounds reasonable to me.

DD has hired some bad ass players and although expensive, everyone seemed like good gets when gotten..... the injuries sucked.

I'd like to see Price and Smith and Thorn in this team........... we'd be the total badass that DD assembled.....
