Why fix the hitting when the starting pitching is so bad? By themselves Porcello and Wright have made wins impossible. We have exactly one reliable starter at this point.

Why is it. Every time this year I've finally had time to just take time out from everything else and totally get ready and happy to watch a Sox game comfortably and without distraction and just for the whole day be so happy that I am ready to just watch a Sox game............ they get blown out in the first two innings..........???????

 

I'm kindofsortof complaining.......... as that Hanley shot and Betts trying to do the Peewy Herman dance across the plate was super fun the other day.........

 

I need more Sale........ just watching him pitch is fun........................

I think Swihart was initiaally an infielder. He wanted to be a catcher, so they made the effort. How long should, could, would hat take? Everybody assumes he stunk as a left fielder, last year. I thought he made some good plays, and was doing far, far, far, bettertthan did Manny (or Td W, for that matter) Then he ran into the wall (they all do eventualy) and everyone assumed i was because he was clumsy. He runs well, he hits well from both side s of the plate. He's a potentilly VG outfielder, who wants o become a catcher. I would guess there is a time limit in place, but that only puts more pressure on him. He will never be a Vazquez, that's for sure. Yes, he may become as good as Veritek was, but how do they wait?

Why are you so eager to sit him on the bench? Quite frankly, that's what he would be doing on the Red Sox. He would be that fourth outfielder. Your outfielders are set for a long time.You have Jackie Bradley Jr, Mookie Betts, and Andrew Benintendi. There is no room in the outfield. There is also no room in the infield either. So their best option, if they're going to keep him and not trade the kid, is to use this time to let the kid learn how to be a catcher. Sandy is providing the Red Sox with that time.

Swihart could hit 400/30/100 in AAA and I wouldn't promote him. He's there to work on his defense so that some day he can be our franchise C.
