What a crock. Two straight starters, Porcello and Price, have given these games away. Today, I entirely agree, the lineup looks tight, but that's largely due to Kluber's excellent pitching. Last night the Sox scored 4 runs, which should have won, but Porcello gave away 5, including 3 dingers. Price has always been bad in the postseason. Porcello was just bad.

 

The pitching has suck but i feel this series would have been different had we started at home and they didn't crap the bed the last 6 games of the season. They went to the playoffs without any momentum.

Perhaps they need a different approach, and that is where the manager comes in.

It's about our offense getting off to slow starts for the last two weeks. Yes the Guardians have great pitching but we had zero momentum coming into this series which is on the manager. I honestly think the Sox near the end didn't care once they locked up the division. Now they see playing the Guardians at home isn't so fun

Sure, the pitching has sucked, but last night was winnable. But the entire lineup has looked like the moment is way too big, ie Mookie swinging at 3 straight garbage pitches in his first AB last night. Again, it's on Farrell. He didn't get this team ready.

I still feel we can make it a series once they get home. Off course the offense has to wake the f*** up

Does it surprise anyone how loose and confident the Guardians have looked from the get go? That's Always been Titos greatest strength. The sox look the polar opposite. Farrell has to find a way to calm our guys down and instill confidence. That's what he's paid for...

 

As for all the "it's tough team...", so are the Guardians...

 

Excuse me, but didn't the Guardians have 4 runs in the first 2 innings last night and the same thing in the first 3 innings today, this time with their best starter, a real candidate for the Cy Young?

Also, I guarantee you that, were our guys to look relaxed right now, you would be saying, "see, these guys don't even care. Doesn't Farrell know how to motivate?" Also, FYI, the Sox 19-8 in September, despite playing mostly road games and many consecutive games in both August and September. How did that happen?

Farrell sucks. This team look's out of it. Like they have given up. I find it hard to believe this team will be swept.

The team got hot. It had nothing to do with Farrell. He let this team fall apart the last week of the season and has them playing scared. They had a 2 run deficit last night with the cy young winner on the mound... You're telling me the team thought that wasn't winnable? It's only looking so bad right now because they are vomiting all over themselves. If they had any composure whatsoever it wouldn't be looking so bad right now. It reflects on the manager. Fair or not, it's his job.

When David Price pitches for your team in the playoffs it's like getting kicked in the balls on your birthday and then finding out there's no cake.

 

Let's hope that doesn't happen to me on the 10th. I'd like to have kids in my future and I love cake.

My comment was in jest. They've sure looked tight & pressed the whole series though. No doubt about that. But no, I don't blame Farrell for Porcello & Price. If they have to replace JBJ & Leon with Young & Vaz.... Shake things up do something. Anything.
