Not whining but stating the obvious. This team finished badly and the way they celebrated after blowing the game was weird. Farrell sucks.

The laid back attitude. The season was basically over that night. Screw home field. Cleveland play's very well at home.

 

I'm not happy with how the regular season ended either.

 

And I would have been far more confident if the Sox had achieved HFA. No matter how inconsequential many believe it to be.

As much as I want the Sox to prevail against Cleveland, I really enjoy seeing and hearing Tito.

 

Some criticize him for this or that as a manager. Some may be valid, I suppose.

 

But he can never be criticized for his public persona. The guy has been real, honorable, intelligent, honest, a good person, and just plain wicked funny since I've been aware of him ( his first live interview on WEEI while he was in Ft. Myers traffic in his rental car. Someone plowed into him! It was a f***ing riot. ).

But last night the Sox scored 4 runs. How was that laid back? The bullpen gave up 0 runs in 3.2 innings. Yes Benintendi was caught off guard, but it was also a daring play by the Guardians baserunner. Yes, Bradley had a couple off line throws, but we have seen them before--he's got a strong but not accurate arm. But the Sox also got a nice DP and at least one excellent play from Ramirez.

 

Meanwhile, Porcello gave up 3 dingers and 5 runs in 4.1 innings and there is absolutely no way he was laid back. He just pitched a terrible game, simple as that.

I didn't particularly care for the other one either. As I said before, I often associate the way a person looks with his/her avatar. Now I can picture Spud as an angel again rather than as a doofus.
