That and losing a game E-rod not hit the opponent for 8 inning. Are you kidding me?

Yup. So stinking frustrating Station. Makes me want to quit baseball.....again.

We better win the next two, that's all I've got to say.

This team is incredibly frustrating. I don't remember 2013 being this infuriating, despite this team having a lot more talents. The losses are piling up when they should be in the win columns.

You were warned but you went ahead anyway. You cocky bastard.

I have to be cocky. It's in my name. You should know, you've gotten mail from me before.

Do whatever you want to me. I got this. Tired of all you bums not believing in me. My mojo had a 3 game win streak last time out. I have as much of a right to be doing this as anybody else.

So, how'd that work out for you, champ?

Everything will be fine.

I feel like I've heard these words before, and things ended up being not fine.

They have 7 games against the O's and 6 games against the Jays left. Those series are far more important than going .500 on a west coast swing.

All wins and losses are equal. Indeed, more than one team has won a division by beating up on weak teams and breaking even against good ones.

As for these two losses, the worry is that the Sox consistently lose 1 run games and especially games in which they score 4 or fewer runs.

Even more to the point, I think the pitching, even the bullpen, could be coming around, but the hitting is suspect. Now ain't that a punch in the kidney?

Except that losing to the Jays or O's would hurt them more than losing to the Padres since they are not competing for a WC spot with the Padres. Some wins are more important than others. For example, if they lose the next 2 games, there's a chance that they could still only be one game back. However, if they lost 2 straight games to the Jays, they'd fall 3 games back.

Well said excepting the "all wins and losses are equal part." If they could keep some of the pitchers a little healthier, they would b e just fine. In the play offs three healthy, capable starters will get us a long way. Would love to see Buch throw a 2-hiiter tonight!

Read my gamethread lead for tonight. I now think the pitching is ahead of the hitting, which just might be feeling the pressure. The rotation has been solid for a month now, and the new arms in the bullpen might even make them reliable. But the hitting continues to struggle.
