IMO he's earned the right to play. he was the greatest SS in the world that agreed to change position and play 3b because jeter was too big of a cry baby to do the best thing for the ballclub and defer to arod.

David Ortiz said he has texted, though has not seen, Alex Rodriguez this week. Does he think another team would pick up A-Rod after the Yankees release him Friday night? "I don't know," Ortiz said. "Probably. Who knows? It's kind of a secret right now. We don't know what's going to happen."

Jeter didn't have the arm to play 3rd. But in any case, it's annoying that we now have to pretend that Arod isn't the biggest douche in baseball because he's retiring. What's even worse is that we still have to hear about him through next year because he's going to be advising (aka doing jack s***) for us. He was a great player and he helped bring home the bacon ONE year. Thanks and good riddance.

Are you nuts? Jeter had a howitzer. He made a living out of masking his poor range with a great arm.

This. 100%. Apparently the Yankees fan has zero clue. Surprise.

Yeah you're right, i guess old man Jeter is the image of him stuck in my head. But he did have a cannon in his prime.

Plus he f***ed Miriah Carey.

personally i think jessica alba was the better get. or the directv commercial girl.

I did not know about the other two. He did f*** Carey before she became a total pig, I believe. Alba would be a tasty morsel. I don't know who the DTV girl is. Shame on me.
