That is just awful, that shouldn't happen.

They have been awful in low scoring games as well. What a pathetic home stand. I am afraid the yankees might pass them in this road trip.

My at the game mojo is on a 2 game slide. This is pathetic how many games we have lost where we have scored 8 or more runs.

What was the explanation for Wright's horrendous outing --- too humid. Do we need to have a controlled environment for him to be effective. He can't pitch in the rain. He can't pitch in humid weather. WTH!

Also, if you check my posts from spring training, I was very concerned that Hanley would have trouble with pop ups and that it would bite us at some point in the season. Tonight he made a whopper of a misplay. There was no wind or anything. I realize that he did not touch the ball. He missed it by 5 feet, but how was that not an error.

how many games have the sox lost by one run?where is the clutch hitter?and yes our pitching suchs!:(:(

Our last 5 losses have been by 1 or 2 runs. Some of those have been high scoring and some have been low scoring. It's very frustrating because they were all winnable games.

As frustrating as those losses are, however, it is a much better sign for the team to lose close games like that than to be blown out. The outcome of close games is largely due to luck or randomness. The larger the difference in the score, the more the outcome is determined by skill. The Sox are 11-11 in one run games but are 18-8 in blowouts. That is a good sign, believe it or not.
