Very tough loss. Still tied for my best mojo run ever. I'm spending the week at UConn, so I got more important things to worry about anyway.

Ok folks. The game's over. Let me give you the stats right now. The sox in games where their are 4 runs or less are now 8-15. Wanna know the orioles record in those games? They are now 15-6 after tonight. This team's not getting the job done in these close games. They have done some choking as well. Edited by d-money

K-Rod threw maybe 3 pitches within the strike zone to get 4 outs.

Ah, the art of pitching. Give the illusion of a strike and get the hitter to chase.

The huge call was the 2-0 strike called on Betts that wasn't even borderline. Completely changed the at-bat, although Mookie looked a little rusty tonight.

Or the ump to chase......

Holt stayed of a close one that might have been a strike and had made a difference. There were others.....

Game of deception and millimeters.....

Sounds like a job for Chris Sale. Get it done, DD!

I wouldn't put this one in the horrific category; with Verlander on the hill for the Tigers, Monday night always figured to be a tough match-up and he was on last night. If JBJ's ball doesn't hit 2nd base, the Sox don't score off him at all.

The loss hurt, but the good news for the bigger picture is that Pomeranz pitched well.

We need to win the next two.

Can they hit a good pitcher for once?
