Game Time 1:35

Porcello vs. Nick Martinez

We are already down 4-0 after the top half of the first inning due to more atrocious starting pitching.

They may not win today but the Sox look good dressed to the nines.

TalkSox is in a fog. No game thread yesterday and a late one today. We need a spark.

I've lit the BornToRun mojo several times now... :(

If you are just tuning in, Sox fans, the Sox ha 2 singles, 2 walks and double in the 1st inning. And scored one run. I look at the lineup every day, and Betts is still being wasted in the lead-off spot. He has GOT to be stuck in there right next to Ortiz! JF is so stubborn. Maybe the next guy will know how to utilize his players.

We had chance to get out of 1st inning with 1 run but your favorite Sox Pedy didn't see 300lb Prince Fielder lumbering from 1st to 2nd.

He sucks

Totally agree, Farrell is like a deer in the headlights. You have to adjust here and there. Like the other night when he left Wright in. What the ,,,,,

Pedey leads the Sox in GIDP with 15. Second is lumbering Ortiz with 12. Then the next guy down, someone with wheels, is Bogaerts with 7. Pedey also has a decent OBP, .366, and OPS, .801. Before monkeying with the batting order, it might be worth noting that the Sox lead MLB in runs scored by about 25 runs.

On the previous game thread someone said Brock Holt was holding this team together, which at the time I thought was silly. Today with the bases loaded he took 2 pitches in the heart of the strike zone, then had to swing a low pitch for an easy groundout.

Holt is over rated....he's just a decent utility guy. Just can't get over how Sox Nation goes nuts over a kid like him.

Good reason why the Rangers mash the ball; they don't look at the first pitch often.
