We revived the White Sox season. We will do the same for the Rays. Pitching pitching pitching. That is what is needed. Expecting playoffs from this team without additional pitching is blind optimism.

One really has to wonder about warm up routines.

And quite frankly ERod, you are going to stay out there and take the pounding. If you give up 20, that's the way it will be.

this team is a f***ing joke.....Brentz for 2nd time throws to wrong base.....you keep the hitter off 2nd base.

I'm JF, I send hime to Pawtucjet tonight. Say, "call us when you've got a curve ball." I can't remember seeing that consectutive number of 92mph fastball that dead center.

Rodriguez' ERA is at 8.0

Clearly too many hopes for this team were tied up with this kid. He is not ready for prime time. He's not the answer for 2016.

Problem is there is absolutely no one to come up and take his place, either in Pawtucket or Portland. And the team needs to fill 2 slots (don't forget Sr. Buchholz).

He showed some bright moments last year that gave us hope. He has to go to Pawtucket and stay there for the rest of the season.

E-Rod does indeed belong in Pawtucket now. He is not ready. And you can't live on two pitches at his ability level.

This is why I say this team needs two starters.

I don't think that this rotation will be improving anytime soon.

Four of us are saying the same thing. But there are people on this board that will say he needs more chances.

For what? More of this stuff?

Welcome to the bandwagon Spud.

I've been saying this for the last 2 years.

Trade Espinoza.....Red Sox cannot develop pitchers. So much for adding 'pitching' gurus on the staff. What a f***ing joke. If I'm Henry, I'd clean house. If DD doesn't want to do it, then he needs to go. Good grief.

Agreed. It's unacceptable that we don't have a couple of pitchers in the farm who can't be called up -- ...and Owens and O'S are not the answer.

Francona laughing his ass off right now. Don't even think he'll deal us a pitcher unless he gets a haul. DD better decide real quick if he's going to deal or keep all our studs for the future. He better be sure they are all studs, and by the way he better get to signing Groome.

55 pitches 2 innings, and the second ended on a CS. Mighta been 70. Not much less tha Greg Maddux might have used for a complete game. I think JF is asleep.

I've been saying that long too.

Ever since they dumped Lester and Lackey.
