The Orioles have historically been a very good franchise, but I don't like Peter Angelo or this team because they have failed completely to understand their place in the firmament, which is second tier, just like Tampa. And let's get personal: I sure as heck don't like them beating us. I root for the Yankees when those two teams play because the Yankees are the worthy opponent, but mostly because I want the Orioles behind us where they belong.

 

Who needs Ortiz? We scored 13 without him last night. So what if he leads the team in most offensive categories?

 

Are we facing another lefty tonight with Young in the lineup and Bradley batting 9th? Is there any other team in MLB, MILB or anywhere else that has a 9th batter with an OPS over .900?

 

As important as the hitting is, I like the fact that we have a pretty consistent defense. Lots of speed and good arms in CF and RF. Good hands at 1B, 2B,and SS. Good enough at 3B. Great backstop at C with a great arm.

I'm not sure I'm okay with how cavalierly you are dismissing my Gamethread Mojo. It prevented the sweep at the hands of the Yankees, you should recall, and it also resulted in a complete game near-shutout. :P

I hope we go to our BP early tonight. Porcello has been on a roll lately but he doesn't seem to have it tonight. Most of our BP should be available anyhow.

No doubt, but my at the game mojo has lit a fire under the offense this year. In addition to the last 2 games, I was at April 20th 7-3 win against the Rays. In 3 games, the Sox have tallied 34 runs.

 

Edit: I should be the Hitting Coach.

Can we please keep the Boston Globe nerd in the booth for the whole game? The best called games are when they have two color commentators instead of just Remy and a play-by-play. It lights a fire under Remy, adds more interesting conversation, and is more entertaining. Having more people talk prevents those dead air moments where O'Brian has to fill in with random stat after random stat.

Who are these guys on the A's pitching staff. They have a lot of no-name kids and journeymen. What a pile of junk! LOL!

 

Every time I think I've seen the funniest named player on the A's, someone with a funnier name warms up in their bullpen. Lol @ Ryan Dull.
