This might have been posted somewhere already, but the RS apparently hope O'Sullivan's work with Brian Bannister can affect a Rich Hill-like epiphany..

The early results in Pawtucket (5 starts) have been good. Will be interested to watch him tonight...I know this is likely only a spot start unless something else goes drastically wrong, but if there's any chance he's anything more than generic AAAA emergency depth, then that's a big plus.

That is a terrific article about pitching. O'Sullivan doesn't interest me nearly as much as Bannister does. What a pitching coach. I think I read somewhere at least a year ago that it is important to invest in quality people in your "system," including coaches, so I hope Bannister is well paid.

Agree. I don't expect a whole lot from O'Sullivan (hopefully he can keep us in the game), but having someone on the staff who can see something more in journeyman types like this, and once in a while pick out a diamond in the rough (eg, Hill), could prove invaluable over time.

Great article. Thanks. Let's hope he keeps his walks down. A solo shot here & there shouldn't be detrimental. Bannister is an intetesting dude.

Sox have not hit lefties well, so tonight 7 righties in the lineup, including Young and Rutledge. I'm not much of a Young fan, but you gotta play sometime when he's healthy and getting $13M for 2 years.

Hopefully, my in game mojo will help Young.

Six mil is virtually minimum wage nowadays. I think it's odd they gave him a 2 year deal but it doesn't bother me much give the 2015 production level he was coming off.

I was going to mention last night that it seems like Mookie gets good wood on the ball on his first AB in every game.
