I don't think Erod has shown enough to be a number two in a rotation and I don't mean his pitching ability. He seems to hit a wall every time around the fifth inning. That to me isn't a number two. More like a good 4.

It's normal. What's not normal is where are his offspeed pitches? 10 year veteran should not lose a damn pitch.

I think Buchholz showed he has a shot to be good this year. The home run at the end was against a batter he basically got out with the uncaught pop up. If Kelly pitches well tomorrow, then we'll be back at .500 with all 5 starting pitchers still having potential, and with plenty of games against the favorite Blue Jays to control our destiny. The most important part of the season is arguably right now. It's time to find out if we have what it takes. These are the big games!

He actually threw more offspeed pitches in '15 than he did in '10. He threw is Change and curve ~ 31.6% in '15 compared to 28.3% in '10. He's thrown slightly fewer change ups while almost doubling the percentage of curveballs from '10 to '15. More confidence in the FB and a better FB back then made his offspeed pitches work better.
