That strange feeling when the Sox season is done is almost upon us............. it usually is the strangest time of the year for me when it ends........... I kind of don't know what to do with myself for a week or two...........

The sox have the 12th pick in the draft next year and it is not protected. While the process of winning late in the year probably gives you some confidence into next yr, it really does nothing in the long run aside from potentially cost you your first rounder.

It gave the young guys a good chance to show what they could do. First rounders aren't a lock to be a valuable piece. I'd rather sign an ace than have the 12th pick.

You could have done both, that's the thing. You could have had a protected first rounder and an ace. And yes, first rounders aren't guaranteed, but when you're near the top of the first round, your hit rate is much higher. Regardless, I am pleased by this development
