Only good thing about this game? E-Rod's on the hill against some idiot LHP Adam Conley. Knock them dead in the water.

Starts at 4:05, for anyone who still cares.

I hate the people who start GT at 1:02 PM.

LOL Not trying to rag on my buddy Thunder, but that was really funny.

When I saw those strange names last night, I hoped Breslow was gone. When oh when will they dump this spaghetti arm?

ER's gotta be tipping pitches today.
This is why you can't have two rookies in the rotation next season. Kids hit bumps and can be very inconsistent even if they are very talented. The Yankees in 2009 decided to put Hughes and Kennedy in their rotation. Both were highly touted and talented. They are putting up decent careers. However, that first season was very bumpy and it ruined the Yankee's season.

Absolutely. Only time you could afford to put two young guys is if you have three other consistently solid starters. Currently, the sox have buch (who would be due for a bad year according to his career pattern) and porcello, who has pitched like one of the worst starters in the al and has been a mediocre pitcher for essentially his whole career.

well, some still think that he was/is top rotation arm, based on 1 "good" year, after seven years of service... Oh and because he is young hence he will improve regardless he is talented or not.

Two parallel dimensions:

a) ER's tipping his pitches, so how many starts before they coach it out of him? How difficult can it be?

B) ER's not tipping his pitches, in which case what the f***'s wrong with him?

Why is it that ERod must be tipping pitches? He sucked today, plain and simple. He's a rookie. This is part of the growth of a big league pitcher. Mussina said it best. 25% of the time, everything is working. Those games you usually win. 25% of the time, nothing is working. Those games you usually lose. 50% of the time, something is working. Winning those games is what separates pitchers in the bigs. I tend to go a bit further. The guys who can limit damage or give length in the 25% when nothing is working are top of the rotation starters. ERod doesn't have that yet. He may never get it, but you need to allow him to grow Edited by jacksonianmarch

He must be tipping pitches because it's a thing he has done repeatedly this year, and because it is the Marlins, the team that's half a game above the Phillies for worst record.

Thanks for the tip on getting tickets Mr. T................. . . . .

I think the tipping pitches thing has been debunked.......... I think Farrell even came out and said it wasn't that.

E-Rod is pretty good and has much promise....... . . but it looks like he is going to get hit around sometimes......

Ortiz is going crazy it seems........ he is cranking out homers left and right..........

He has picked it up since the All Star break in a big way.............

How many more before he needs 500? Two less after tonight.........

What a way to come back home to Miami. f*** that game, wish I had a paper bag with me. 10 runs in an inning against the Marlins? Wow, we really do suck.

I'd lose my mind watching that game live.............. . .
