What are you even talking about? The rotation has been borderline excellent for a month.

It's not the rotation or the offense. It's everything. They just can't put both things together.

Panda defense and s*** cost us a bunch of games in the last 2 week. I can't believe we have to roll him out there till 2019.

Nah, Panda will be 1B/DH in 1-2 years and then we'll roll Hanley out at 3rd. That should go well!

Two players making $40M this year with -1WAR, yeah f*** that s***.

I'm not saying he's good, just that he didn't lose this game. Pretty much the whole rotation sucks.

Aside E Rod and Buch, yup.

Well said... it's not about choosing one fall guy. A while back we were a bad team just because Salty couldn't frame pitches, for a while it was the Crawford contract, who can forget Josh Beckett eating chicken.... it's so much more than a few players. The organization sucks. Call me spoiled, but I do EXPECT a major market team, with a long proud history, pouring tons of money in the roster, with a huge fan base... to have winning seasons.

The difference is that the team has talent on the offense, and it will turn it around and perform better. There is no talent on the starting pitching staff ecept for ER and Buch in streaks. The rest are mediocre lumps.

I sure hope so... but I just don't see it happening.

That talent on offense has been inconsistent all year long. The team just sucks. These guys are making alot of money to perform and win games. This team should not be this terrible. I am sorry but they shouldn't

That's easy to say and easy to swallow if they have a slow week. They have sucked for the last three months; they will suck for the next three months and thereafter.

They have a lot of guys with really good track records as hitters. Our starting pitchers have no such track record.

UN, sox were 23rd in ERA in May, so while they were better, they weren't exactly lighting the world aflame with their pitching greatness

3.63 team ERA over the last 28 days entering tonight's debacle.

I disagree. They will hit. There is much more of a possibility of the offense turning it around than our starters improving.

This is baseball; "track record" means nothing. It's about what a player does and will do, not about what they have done in the past. Napoli has a great one of these "track record" of which you speak... but his batting average for the current season is .143.

Sandoval hadn't posted 20 HRs or 800 OPS in three years.

a700 I'm usually a positive guy, but I can't seem to muster faith in this team, pitchers or bats. Track records just don't seem relevant, they just don't seem to have it.

Father time hit Papi and Napoli fast and hard, as it has many guys with their bodysets, Ortiz defied the odds for a while, but he's done. The Sandoval signing will stand as the pinnacle of failure for Ben's tenure. Thanks for 2013, but goodbye.

While I'm right there with you, they definitely need to do something drastic to fix this mess.

Who is demanding high pay roles or WS wins every year????

I mean, are you satisfied with this BS unfolding in front of you? Why if you hate your team being in last place does that equate to being spoiled?

What he's saying is that there's a difference between being realistic like most of us here are, and a consistently whining twat like some others. If the hat doesn't fit, don't wear it. You're taking something that wasn't directed at you in the first place pretty personal.
