Out number 3 on a flyball from the .217 hitting Sizemore.

What sucks is again we were only a hit away from winning that in the 9th. Sucks having the most one run loses in the al. However, this team is definitely struggling to score runs. Going into the game, we had the third worst offense in the al. Currently, we only have 50 hrs on the season. Thats ridiculous. Someone other than Papi has to be hitting for hrs in this lineup. Its stupid how our next highest hr total is 6 with mike napoli and xander bogaerts.

If by the end of the season you want to point to a game or two that is showing why this season unfolded in that particular way, then this 4 game set against the Guardians is probably the most fitting example. They can´t quite get over the hump in so many ways, it´s mediocrity through and through. I still think in the long run this season will be a helpful one and they will reap the benefits and I am not sure how much the FO should or could have done differently.

This was a series that the Sox should have swept. They won the first 2 games and were ahead late in the last 2 games, but they coughed up both of them. They are just a bad team.

I think that's a bit of a stretch.

His OPS is over 100 points lower than his career average. his 97wRC+ (Runs Created) is below the league average too. He's been a failure at the top of this horrific offense.

2nd worst AL record. It's way too late.

I could see them getting back to 500, but a playoff spot will be tough.

The Yankees have been very similar to us run producing wise and runs allowed wise this year. They are 35 and 32 though. If a quarter of those one run loses go our way, we are a 500 team. If just 4 of those one run games like the one today go our way, we are 35 and 34.

And if the Queen had balls, she would be the King. They haven't had those games go our way, and we are not 35 and 34, because we are not a good team. We are 14th out of 15. That stinks. There's no rationalizing it or excusing it

How can I answer that Ted without flying off the handle Ted? I can't because this team is made up of a bunch of choke bastards----one rookie who couldn't hit with runners on base to save his sorry ass, the other who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. We have our sparkplug who has had more check swing outs and ground outs to the SS than Carter has pills, our Big Papi will hit a homer or a double but the consistency is not there, and our cleanup hitter now seems to be worrying more about his OBA than his RBI's----and all of you out there know how I love RBI's. That tells me a batter can hit with runners in scoring position. No quantifying that.....you either do it or you don't---and most of our aggregation don't.

The sign of a good team is to win the close games at home; a great one wins the close ones on the road as well. An average team tends to lose most one run games on the road, and a totally uninspired, lazy and gutless team loses those kinds of games at home. You can guess where I put our team in this pantheon of ball clubs.

You are incapable of doing anything other than flying off the handle.

We are all frustrated. Your posts make it so much worse for all of us to have to suffer through.

Maybe take a break until after the trade deadline or after the season is over. A lot of us would be grateful.

Speak for yourself lady. As I told you before, put me on ignore and save yourself what ever suffering you're going through. Either that or you're a glutten for punishment by reading stuff that upsets you. Nothing I said was false.....again, you have a miserable lack of ability to come to grips with uncomfortable truths but you are going to have to come out of your dream world and simply accept truths you refuse to acknowledge. Have you read the game threads the last two days? You would have noticed that there are a lot of us coming out with terse and frustrating comments. Again, let me suggest that if you don't like my truthful retorts just put me on ignore or just shut up.

There's a big difference between complaining about being 3 games back in April and complaining when a team is sub .500 through June.

Well we are seven games under 500, in fourth place and nine games back in the standings. I think it is ample reason for a lot of us to complain. As for complaining about being three out in April you would have been better served acknowledging that some of us here saw some very troublesome things two months ago and cautioned that this might mean there was going to be a tough go. 700, iortiz, Sox Sport, yours truly and a few others saw those things back then. We didn't predict a disaster as we're seeing now but we saw things that just didn't look right. Perhaps you might have seen something too.
