Son I have been a Red Sox fan for more than sixty years. I have lived all over this planet and have proudly taken my Boston accent around the world. (Which is a real bear when speaking Spanish) I regularly post on another board where the posters talk baseball and are civil to one another. You are the intolerant one who seeks to drive dissenters from your midst. I didn't post here last year because of posters like you. If you don't like what I write just put me on ignore. That is what it was there for. I attacked no one it was I who was attacked.

And despite all this you just happen to come strolling back when the team is playing poorly. What an interesting coincidence that is.

If you want to be negative about a team, give a reason why player X is not good, and have some realistic proposal to amend the problem. So far, I've read that 40% of the Red Sox rotation might be mentally ill. The solutions are to sign Stephen Drew and Kendry Morales (to play LF). The trade options are to trade Alan Webster for Cliff Lee. Also, trading Clay Buchholz for some random player is on the table. Are we supposed to take this s*** seriously? This isn't about driving dissent away; it's about people tired of some posters just making noise.

Also, when someone takes the time to rebut a conspiracy theory, (SoxSport and Fred) take the time to respond to the point. Don't just rehash the same argument, and accuse everyone else of not doing any research.

Actually I wanted to see if the board has changed and I see that it hasn't sadly. Frankly I'd prefer to read about baseball rather than the soap opera you wish to perpetuate. Since you'd rather attack other posters then the Yankees, O's, Rays or Jays then there is nothing more to post. You go on ignore.

I don't think I have. I think Farrell took the season too lightly. Confidence is a major problem with Buchholtz, Doubront, Bradley and Nava. I think Bradley needs to go back down, he looks terrible at the plate. If he stays up I am concerned he'll lose more self confidence like Nava. CB goes on the DL to get whatever is bothering him worked out. There is something wrong and it may be mental. He doesn't feel healthy, at least that's what I infer from his published comments. Doubront needs go to the pen. I'd bring up Workman and let Capuano take CB's place in the rotation.

Are you the team psychiatrist? If you are not, I don't want to hear that Buchholz and Nava's inner critics have them feeling down about themselves.

The problem with all of this posting is the tone of alot of it. From my POV, its hard to take seriously people when they get all bent out of shape. As if yelling and being disrespectful will make me consider that posters POV. It doesnt, it does the opposite. Talking strategy is supposed to be fun and interesting.

Having said that, I think its still too early to do anything drastic but Drew will always be in the discussion, especially if XB's defense doesnt improve and/or Middlebrooks doesnt fulfill his potential. A good defense, especially up the middle gives confidence to the pitching. I also think we need another major league ready pitcher, whether Buchholz improves or not, Ive been saying that. Because we won the WS our youth movement shouldve been in check a little more than our initial plan was in order to ride the wave we created.

I had some very lively debates with Elk when he first joined the board. I recollect that we had a protracted debate about the dangers of being in downtown Baltimore at night. We should give him a chance. The guy knows his baseball, and he is a pretty smart guy. Can't we tolerate new posters over age 15? If he deliberately trolls us, that will become evident soon enough.

It's impossible when posters are as annoying as Glenn Beck during a monologue.

They do have that self-sealing quality in common now that I think about it. At least they don't psychoanalyze people from two second TV clips. Oh, wait......

First of all one can easily see from Buchholtz and Doubront's performances that they lose focus. One doesn't have to have an advanced degree in psychology to see that both get easily unnerved. I am glad to see that Bradley had a good night to night. I suppose I should be flattered that some you spend more time posting about me and others who may agree with me then baseball.

Well you are going to. If I think that is the problem and I can back it up with my observed evidence I will post it. If you can refute it, do so. If you can't and you still don't like it that you can always put me on ignore.

How do you refute amateur sports psychology? I agree that Buchholz's fastball velocity is down. I don't know if I would be able to conclude that he feels bad about himself from that.

I'll call Walter White to ship some of that blue meth to Buchholz and Doubront on their scheduled starts.
