Last Damn place! Wake up Ben! It's already 5% into the season!

I caught that mvp.....You might tell some of the others to pipe down. Some of our friends are making me look like a wuss when it comes to attacking our bad play.

Pitching sucks right now.Better hope that peavy brings something tomorrow.

Pitching seems to go out the window whenever we play Texas. Comes down to offence which we usually don't win against them.

Another busy night for me. Have umpiring class right after baseball practice, with my first game tomorrow. I decided to take after my boy Jonny Gomes and will most likely start in LF, unless the other guy makes a run for a Gold Glove at practice tonight.

This will start up a new kind of Thunder mojo: Thunder's game mojo!

^this is why we lost

Where is Fred to ripped this team?

Station, it looks to me that others are doing a good enough job of hammering our team so I will just sit this one out. Actually two reasons for this. One, I was there the past weekend and saw the Red Sox look like a bunch of rummies. There was no relation to the team I saw in the same ballpark last October. Whether it was a hangover from 2013, a lack of urgency during a very mediocre ST, or the fact that we may have played over their heads last season, the fact is we didn't look like a championship team against Milwaukee. Secondly, I gained even a deeper love for our team and have crammed every nick-nack of the Red Sox into my Bosox room. I think my patience will have to be tested a lot more than it has before I snap. I will say one thing I better see happen is for Cherington to get busy and get Lester signed to an extension. Now let see if I can practice what I am saying.

10 days into the season and people are already flipping their s***. To your credit, you haven't been one of them.

Yes, all the games matter to an extent. However, the way people act around here is boderline ridiculous.

The only thing that has me worried is a hole developing in LF when Nava comes back to earth with that bat. Doesn't look like he's improved defensively.

I think it's inevitable somebody is going to get dealt from among those 3 left fielders. It would be Carp, except he's their backup at 1B. They all have proven their worth as role players, but none are as good as the other 3 OFers--Size,Vic, and JBJ.

It looks like they are in their bean counting mode--sending Workman down?--one of their best pitchers, while others have been s***ing the bed. Not a good sign. I get the feeling some of these guys just didn't throw enough innings in ST. Too many innings spread around to minor league pitchers who weren't going to make the team.

Doubs may be hitting a dead arm period. I think he will be okay. He looked good in Spring Training.

I am a little concerned about the offense. We need Victorino out there everyday, but the guy is always banged up.

As far as "ripping the team" is concerned, they have lost 5 of their first 6 games at home, so something is wrong. The first thing was having Vic go down so soon. That hurt, because Farrell stubbed his toe putting Nava in RF and Carp in LF--and immediately got burned for it. Fortunately, JBJ seems to have found his confidence and Size is holding up. The other thing is a couple of pitchers have s*** the bed and cost them a couple of games. Maybe Farrell needs a quicker hook when a guy doesn't have it.

If you play fantasy, you go nuts the first couple weeks about all the guys who start hot and all the guys who can't hit or pitch a lick. Entirely unpredictable. Maybe the same goes for the teams. Everything eventually balances out. Cream does rise to the top.

You're jumping to conclusions, but what else is new. Workman is going to be used as a starter in Pawtucket and we'll see him back and in the rotation at some point.

One of the things that's wrong is your math. They've lost 4 of 5 at home so far.

Workman will be needed when Buchholz/Peavy inevitably hit the DL.

A lot of bad luck so far. The on-base percentage is good, pitching staff leads the league in fWAR. (the key stats, strikeouts, walks, homeruns - all are doing ok so far). Defense has dropped off quite a bit so far, but going from Ellsbury to Sizemore in CF will do that.

But the fundamentals are largely pretty strong - results will catch up.

I awoke to find that Workman had been sent down to make room. Now I read that he will be stretched out so he can start in Boston.

I agree that he will be needed as a starter eventually. We have Capuano (SP).

I have very little confidence in Doubrant and Peavy at this point. I'm hoping that Buch returns to form soon but suspect that he won't.

8 games ... breathe ... problem has been that the offense has not scored as much as a team which is putting baserunners on like the Sox are should be. That will correct itself.

They had to do this with Workman. Buchholz looked completely terrible. Now, there is a difference in being off and being terrible. Buchholz works best when he's in the low to mid 90s and when his pitches have bite. All his pitches were flat and I am not sure he hit 90 in his entire first start. You cannot lose both your velocity and your bite on your pitches. You lose those and you're done. I think there is more wrong in that shoulder than initially believed. And the fact that the sox are doing this makes me think they agree. This isn't for Doubront, he had a representative start in Baltimore before getting shat on last night. His stuff was still good, he just didn't locate. His rope is going to be long. And Peavy is Peavy, you aren't sending Workman down lying in wait for an injury to him. Workman went down specifically to be an option should Buch not return to form. I remember when Hughes lost his stuff and had dead arm. Took him 3-4 months to get it back. Pineda lost his stuff too and needed shoulder surgery. We'll see which way things go

It is possible. It's also possible that he was the only guy with options to create a roster spot with Breslow's return. I wouldn't read a whole lot into this. Somebody had to go down - there was no other logical candidate.
