Well I'm going to sign off in a few. Congrats to all. Been a pleasure "hanging out". Now I've got to decide what to do with my Sig.... haven't wanted to change it all year.

So I am assuming that Hanrahan, Bailey, Drew, Morales, Ellsbury, Saltalamachia are all gone next year.

Morales and Bailey at 2 and 4 million a piece aren't that terrible. The other guys are probably gone though.

The national media has so much egg on their faces. The Sox pitching staff generally and the starters particularly went head to head with consecutively the Rays staff, considered the best in the East, the Tigers staff, featuring the best rotation in the AL and the Cards staff, considered to have the best rotation in the NL plus the scariest pen in the entire post season....and....out-pitched all of them mainly on the strength of the starting rotation and the closer.

In addition, it is not like they just carted their stuff out there night after night and dominated. Lester was able to come to the mound with his best stuff more often than not. Lackey had really good stuff about half the time. Really more times than you would think for a pitching staff that at the end of the day out-dualed the acknowledged best pitching staffs in baseball they had to come out and battle their way through games. That was just an amazing amazing performance and quite possibly the toughest and grittiest performance by a staff and especially a rotation in the post season that I have ever seen. In no way was it the most dominant but it was without question the grittiest I have ever seen. Consider how disrespected they were compared to the competition, how much respect and awe the analysts had for the opponent staffs at every turn and how much pressure they were under to out-pitch those staffs that were shutting down most of the Boston offense every night. I will be real surprised if I ever see anything like it again. I am pretty convinced I have never seen anything like it to this point...maybe the Tigers staff with Rogers that year comes the closest but really..... NOT!!!!

Gosh I hate commentators that talk about players in the plural…the Pedroia's' date=' the Ortizes etc. There is only ONE of each of them[/quote']

Yeah, but really...What's in a name?

Kicked the Cardinals asses in the WS for the second time in 9 years!

LOL I f***ing love it, I live in Cardinal country, this next week is going to be so much fun as I'm going to rub it in every one of those motherf***ers faces! The bunch of cocky pricks, won 500 bucks tonight on 5 separate 100 dollar bets, champs baby, champs!!!

Lackey and Lester were heroic.

Buch was a MAN battling through his injury.

Peavy was the unfortunately dud of the WS.

Ortiz 760 OBP…..insane.

Peavy wasn't horrendous in game 3... he salvaged that inning when it was bases loaded and could have easily turned into a blowout. Instead the blue gave the game to the Cards in the 9th, but without him pitching himself out of that jam, the obstruction call never happens and this series would not have the same aura to it. People will remember this series for a lot of reasons, most notably that we won it, but game 3 will always be something people look at as one of the craziest ways a game can end.

Also, he came it and completely fit in with the personality of this club and did what we needed him to do down the stretch. Pitch quality innings and put the Sox in a position to win more often than not. I've been a fan of his for a long time and I'm very happy he got his first ring here with us this season.

Sox played 178 games this year... they won 108 of them. 108-70 = .606 winning percentage

Unbelievable. You couldn't have convinced me this would happen after how bad it got last season. f***.. I refused to watch or listen late last year with how bad it got. Couldn't stomach seeing or hearing that team take the field. Now they're champs. Just unreal. What a season. Thanks for such an amazing run.
