It just doesn't make any f***ing sense at all... I get Gomes brings energy, but you have to play to strengths and Nava has the ability to present challenges for this right handed heavy lineup.

Breslow hasn't look good with inherited runners has he? Seems like Tazawa would been a better choice for the job, considering that's all he's done in the playoff.

The only question mark for me going to St. L is what do we do with Buch? Does he pitch or not and how capable is he whether he starts or not.

 

As for lineups...this ******** with Gomes has got to stop...especially since we are losing Napoli for two and possibly Ortiz for one. While this game would have been a good game to try Will, I am not sure there is that same opportunity in St L. Have to look at the numbers to see how I feel about XB vs Will there but I am inclined to think it would be and should be XB. If we get Wacha again in this series I would definitely vote for Will.

Gomes has no business starting every game in this series with Nava batting .300 on the season. He has to play in the next game at the very least.

Not sure about that. If we went RH pitcher against LH batters and Taz gave it up we would have been asking why on earth Farrell went that way.

 

Salty really f***ed us royally if you must know. He would have had the runner dead at 3rd if he got the stupid ball out of his mitt and then if he had not tried to hold the plate (for no good reason) Bres would never have gotten the ball to throw it into LF.

I wish Drew was a terrible fielder. Then there would be absolutely no excuse to keep him in the game. You'd have better luck taping a bat to a ferret and giving it a shot at the plate.

Farrell should have sent Koji in that high leverage situation in the 7th and likely shut this game down. But was too much too ask. Hopefully Peavy put his s*** together and Buch is healthy enough to give us at least 6 decent innings.
