I want the last out of the Rays season to be a foul ball that hits Maddon on the bridge of his nose and shatters his stupid f***ing glasses on live television, I want jacko to go into convulsions from rage and rip open all the moving boxes in his apartment in his mother's basement causing her to have him committed to an asylum. I want the trop to implode into some kind of vortex of mobile scooters and stamped tin cowbells as all fourteen of their fans gnash their teeth and tear their clothes.

This is the most important part of your post, and i very much agree with it.

This post is so full of awesome that it made aroused

Playoff is a crap shoot. The Rays were lucky to win last night game. Guardians had 2 base runner per inning average last night.

I know I may be entering hostile territory saying this since there seems to still be a lot of affection for Terry Francona on this board, but he did nothing to try and take the game to the Rays. Not once did he try to steal a base, try to use the hit and run, the run and hit, maybe lay down a bunt, maybe move the runners. It was the old station-to-station game he used a lot with us. With guys like Swisher, Cabrera and the like in his lineup it might have been a fool's errand to depend on those and others to save his bacon.

I'm loving every minute of reading these posts. I'm really LMFAO! However, forgive me if I don't join it at the moment. I fear if I pop off I might jinx our guys. They made me a very happy camper this season and got me out of a very angry funk. Don't want to do anything to upset the applecart, but if you think your nasty and funny posts will not hex the Red Sox keep having at it.

That's because Francona sucks. He won 2 world series with 2 great teams, but otherwise he's not really great. He's an average AT BEST manager. A lot of people act like he is some sort of miracle worker, or he just rescued their mother from a burning home or some crap, but 2004 and 2007 could of happened with just about anyone running this team.

Other than Valentine of course.

It will be a dogfight because both teams play that way. Sox have the better offense. Starting pitching may be a wash. Sox have the better defense as long as Ells and Vic can play at their normal pace. Rays may have an edge in the pen but only if their pen guys show up.

3:00 start...the networks strike again.

Huh? This makes zero sense. Boston has strong tv numbers and Tampa is 6th. An afternoon game hurts ratings.

I prefer a 3pm start to an 8pm start any day!

Obviously the network believes LA/Atlanta is a better draw than Boston/Tampa or Boston/Tampa wold be the 8:00 game and LA/Atlanta would be the 3:00 PM game. The networks would play the games at midnight on Mars if it suited them. I guess the Network is OK with bumping Days of our Lives or whatever other afternoon horse s*** would have been on at 3:00.

Rays' pen sucks ass as currently configured. Even more so given that their "genius" acquisition Jesse Crain did not throw a single pitch for them. As is customary, the talksox "i know better than the Sox FO" crew was flipping their s*** over the sox not being in play for Crain......look at how that turned out.

jung, are you implying that the networks decide who plays when? Because if you are, you are thoroughly incorrect.

This thread is f***ing great so far. I wore my "We Own The East" shirt today (I live in Florida) and I got a lot of dirty looks from October Rays fans. I would actually call them Rays fans, but they only come out around here when their team is doing good or in the postseason. Let's send these little bitches home for good. Everyone is always talking about their pitching, but guess what? We have good pitching too. Not to mention an offense who can whoop their ass on any given day. Let's start the "f*** the Rays" chant. Postseason baseball is back in Boston and the best fans in the world have a great team to cheer on. It all starts tomorrow.

Where in Florida do you live? They're usually a lot of Sox fans all over the state. I'm from Miami and I wore my shirt to school on monday and actually got a lot of praise from random people.

Love ya and all BTR! SO glad you started this GT. My only whiney ass, anal retentive gripe is that they haven't been called the Devil Rays for a while. No worries.

LET'S GO RED SOX!

And f*** you Keith Olberman. You're a gigantic douche! YAY Pedro in the studio!

Olberman turns my stomach. How does that pompous ass windbag keep getting jobs? He's terribly boring. Do you remeber the time he was doing a network game, and his mom got hit in the stands with an errant throw? It think that it was a Yankees- Sox game > I could be wrong about that. What are the odds of the announcer's mother getting plunked in the stands.

It is very obnoxious, IMO. I really can't be skipping work, but... priorities.

There are certain things we must do in life. Going to a Red Sox playoff game is one of them. If I lived in Boston, I'd go broke buying tickets.

Me too, but we are down a couple of people at work and I have a 4 pm meeting with my new boss. Normally, I would work from home on a big game day and take the afternoon off. This situation sucks. I am DVRing the game. Should I wait until I get home to watch it and not follow the score at work? I am more than a little addicted, so I don't know if I can wait.

He's the worst! He'll keep getting jobs because the media, including the sports media, are very Liberal. I think he gives Liberal's a bad name..ha ha! :D

I didn't know that about his mom. lmao!

I was at our Boston Office yesterday and one of my associates there is a season ticketholder and he can't go to the game today, because of a business function. The guy is so upset.

I would think that he would embarrass the liberal media, because he is a bit more than a lunatic fringe type when it comes to politics. Maybe Pedro can give Olberman the Don Zimmer treatment in the studio. That would be great.

That does suck! That's a tough call about waiting to watch or following the game. SO glad I don't have to make that decision. Tell your new boss you need to reschedule or that you aren't feeling well or that he's a tool for having a meeting during the Red Sox first ALDS game!

I'm already worrying about what time Game 3 will be played. It's tough for me to leave work early on a Mondays because we get so many new claims because people are stupid and can't drive for crap! But if we have the 5pm or later, I'm good.
