What's with the three shaved lines Peavy and Doubront have on the back of their heads? Is it coincidence or do others on the staff have it too?

Weirdly wasn't leaning badly, wasn't a big lead - looked like he slipped a bit getting back. Weird for him to get picked off without actually getting caught leaning.

Actually when Ells does get picked it is the same way every single time. He does not go back to the bag the same way every time. When he feels like he does not have to rush back, he uses that stupid crow hop. Then the first and only time he is forced to crossover step...WHAT A SHOCK...he looses his balance and his footing and can't make it back.

If you were to go back and watch film of the guys the sort of invented modern base stealing, none of them uses that stupid crow hop. They go back to the bag the same way every time.....crossing over. Then when they really have to move to get back, all they have to do is crossover faster.

It's where Cherington installed the "Don't be like Beckett" mind-control microchip.

Peavy is just what we needed. Looks like a big game pitcher too.

Killed me to part with Iggy. But Peavy is just what we needed. I agree.

I would rather see Buch try again next year than see him come back and pitch like he has been in the minors.

With the division lead we have, I think they just run him out there every five days to see if he can recapture his early season form. Not counting on him for October right now.

I posted this a few games ago but what I think I notice (can't be sure) is that since Jake got here there has been something of a competitive spirit between the starters...not wanting to get outdone one to the next.

When Jake first got here while it was an indirect comment, I said that the staff lacked leadership and in passing suggested that Peavy was too new to assume that role......I WAS WRONG....DEAD WRONG. They did lack leadership but there is no question in my mind that the staff has hitched its wagon to Peavy's harness.

Man, 27 runs to 6 in less than two games, teams fear the Sox right now.

During the game last night, we passed the Tigers for most runs scored.
