As some of you know, I worked at ESPN. I've met most of their staff in some capacity or another. I chatted with Mike and Mike almost every morning for a minute or two, and I once got to tell Tim Kurkjian he had to move his car out of the fire lane.

Was not aware of this.

Probably the same thing you think of that prediction. Mid August last year I could see that. I was thinking about it last night and decided that even if the Sox fell apart (not as bad as last September) that we really couldn't complain too much, this turnaround in one season is miraculous.

I felt the same way about BC that I felt about Farrell, thought they were too close to the collapse. As usual when it comes to things like this, I was amazingly wrong on both counts.

Not paraphrasing, not exaggerating, he pulled out "Do you know who I am?". Word for word. From then on, he glared at me whenever he saw me, and I heard from other guys I worked with that he was generally a douche to anyone who asked him to scan his ID to open the door like he was supposed to instead of opening it for him.

 

EDIT: This referring to Rose, not Scott.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I was technically considered a contractor, as security, much like the custodial staff, landscapers, and the cafeteria workers. I wasn't allowed to take advantage of any perks available to employees, so I don't really know what it's like.
